# Lead Friendly > Lead Friendly is an AI phone agent with a built-in CRM for small businesses: it answers and places calls 24/7, texts back missed calls, books appointments, and logs everything — from $49/month, with published pricing and cancel-anytime plans. It is built deepest for independent car dealerships, and it is agent-ready: its MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI agent act through it. Last updated: 2026-10-19 For independent car dealerships, the same platform runs the whole store, from the photo on the lot to the funded deal: a dealer website built for you and included in the dealership plan, one-tap inventory photos, a VIN scan that puts the car live on your site and pushes it to CarGurus (with a feed for Cars.com and other platforms), ADF/XML and lead-inbox intake for CarGurus, Cars.com and other marketplaces, a four-square desk (KBB values through Cox, in setup), lender submission (a Dealertrack credit-application rail in certification with Cox, or the credit application emailed to any lender), an e-signed deal jacket, and the post-sale follow-up. Website-form leads get an automatic AI call inside legal calling hours when the shopper gives call consent. A marketplace (ADF) lead creates the contact, a pipeline card and a follow-up task; the AI Auto Responder can text or email it once switched on, and an automation can text and call it once switched on and set to send automatically (https://www.leadfriendly.com/for/auto-dealerships#leads-in). ## Name and identity - The name is Lead Friendly: two words. The website is leadfriendly.com (canonical: https://www.leadfriendly.com). - Lead Friendly is operated by Lead Friendly LLC, a Washington limited liability company formed on April 8, 2026 and based in Washington (mailing address: 522 W Riverside Ave Ste N, Spokane, WA 99201-0581). - Lead Friendly was founded by Mandeep Rao, whose background is in auto sales and insurance. - Lead Friendly is not affiliated with "LeadFriend" (a defunct Instagram tool) or with "LeadConnector" (GoHighLevel's white-label brand). ## What makes Lead Friendly agentic - Self-configuring setup: pick an industry + paste your website → it reads the site and fills your services, hours and location into that industry's agent script. Prices are filled only where the site states them, and never for regulated verticals (mortgage, medical, dental, legal, insurance, Medicare, financial), where the agent asks you instead. - Operation Plan: beyond the agent, it proposes the automations + campaigns a business like yours should run (instant new-lead text, appointment confirmation, post-call follow-up, "call & qualify new leads", "re-engage cold leads"). - Propose-then-approve: automations are created paused and campaigns as drafts — nothing fires until the owner switches it on, and money actions always ask first. - Per-contact memory: the agent recalls prior calls and messages, so each conversation continues instead of cold-starting. - Agent templates for all 23 industries, each with a tailored Operation Plan. ## What Lead Friendly does - Answers every inbound call 24/7 as your business, and logs each call to the CRM with a transcript - Texts back missed calls and keeps the conversation going until someone picks it up, or books it - Follows up by text, email and AI call until the lead books, waiting out quiet hours and stopping on STOP - Books the appointment on your calendar and texts the confirmation - AI voice agents that make and take sales calls automatically - Agentic setup that builds the agent from your website - Auto-proposed automations + follow-up campaigns per industry - Built-in telephony (no separate Twilio account needed) - CRM with contacts, calls, pipelines, and automation workflows - Per-contact memory across calls - Calendar integrations (Google Calendar two-way sync; Outlook on Pro) - White-label option for agencies ## Pricing - Free trial (Solo): 7 days or 30 AI voice minutes, whichever comes first; no credit card. - Starter: $49/month, or $39/month billed annually ($468/year). 150 AI voice minutes included; overage $0.15/min. - Pro: $99/month, or $79/month billed annually ($948/year). 400 AI voice minutes included; overage $0.15/min. - Agency: $199/month, or $159/month billed annually ($1,908/year). 600 AI voice minutes included, pooled across sub-accounts; overage $0.12/min. Sub-accounts and reseller mode; white-label through the add-on below. - Add-ons: the white-label & reseller suite for Agency (custom domain, branded portal, resell to unlimited clients) is $99/month; reselling to up to 3 client sub-accounts on Pro is $49/month. Dealership modules are not part of white-label or reselling. The dealership plan is sold to the store that operates it, on that store's own subscription, and a client sub-account cannot hold a dealership module on any plan or add-on. Every paid plan includes the full CRM, AI voice agents, recordings, transcripts and compliance; plans differ on minutes, AI agents, seats, automations, integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Outlook calendar, and the API and webhooks start on Pro) and agency features. Minutes beyond the bundle draw from a prepaid wallet at the plan's overage rate. Metering: each call is rounded up to the next whole minute; inbound calls and outbound calls to US and Canadian numbers share the plan's minutes and overage rate; outbound calls and texts to Australia, the UK, New Zealand or Ireland bill from the wallet at that country's rate, outside the plan's minutes and texts; a call never answered counts nothing; an outbound call that reaches voicemail counts for its length; on a transfer the person picks up, AI minutes stop at the hand-off. Texts count by segment (160 plain characters, 153 per segment when split, 70 with an emoji); incoming texts are 0.5¢ a segment from the wallet, rounded up to a whole cent per message. 10DLC texting registration fees are charged to the wallet on submission. At a $0 wallet with the plan's minutes used up, the AI agent still answers inbound calls and holds the full conversation (booking, transfer, message); those minutes bill at the overage rate after the call, the wallet stops at $0, and the uncovered amount is taken first from the next top-up. Outbound calls, hand-sent texts and emails beyond the plan pause until a top-up, and so do automatic outreach texts (campaign texts, post-call and voicemail follow-ups, AI follow-up nudges, automation texts that open a conversation); texts a customer is waiting for (booking confirmations, appointment reminders, missed-call text-backs and other replies, the AI's first reply to a new lead, web-lead confirmations) keep sending and add to the unpaid balance. Sales tax is not included in plan prices: at checkout it is calculated from your billing address and added to everything on your invoice. Cancel anytime: monthly plans cancel at the end of the current period, and annual plans run to the end of the paid year and do not renew once cancelled. All sales are final: payments are not refunded. Verify current pricing at https://www.leadfriendly.com/pricing. - Lead Friendly for Dealers — $349/month, or $279/month billed annually ($3,348/year), plus a one-time $500 setup fee. 1,800 AI voice minutes and 2,500 texts included; overage $0.12/min. Includes every dealership module (deal desk, inventory manager, dealer website metrics, equity mining, data providers, lead webhook to your DMS, multi-rooftop rollup) and unlimited seats and AI agents. One store per subscription; dealership modules are not resold through an agency account. A website for your store is included: contact us, tell us what you want, and we build it and show you. Managed also includes a site. Phone numbers are $3 a month each from the wallet and not part of any plan: https://www.leadfriendly.com/for/auto-dealerships#pricing - Managed (done for you) — $799/month, month to month, 1,000 AI voice minutes and 1,250 texts included, extra minutes $0.12. We set up, launch and run your AI phone agent and follow-up, and the same price includes a website (one site, up to 8 pages plus pages generated from your own data, built and hosted on Lead Friendly and yours while you are a customer), search and AI-visibility work (full audit at launch, then a check every month, and we apply the fixes), and 8 short videos a month made from your products and offers, which you approve before we post them. Also covers agency outbound rules: recipient-local calling hours, DNC, AI disclosure, purchased-lead consent, and call recording. - [Car dealership website cost](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/car-dealership-website-cost): what a dealer site costs across the three buying models — general builders roughly $35–$300/month, automotive platforms typically quoted per rooftop from a few hundred to over $2,000/month, or a one-time custom build quoted per project. Covers the add-on line items (syndication, chat, photo processing, SEO, setup fees, contract length) that usually decide the real total. - [Dealership website must-haves](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/dealership-website-must-haves): the working spec — one indexable URL per vehicle, Vehicle/Car structured data, AutoDealer markup matching the Google Business Profile, an inventory feed, trade-in and financing capture landing in a CRM, fast mobile VDPs, and a phone number that gets answered. Includes how to verify each one. - [Independent dealer website: DIY or built](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/independent-dealer-website-vs-diy): honest comparison of Wix, WordPress, automotive platforms, and a custom build, including the case where a builder-based site is genuinely the right answer, and the three thresholds (inventory velocity, syndication, integration) where DIY stops being cheaper. - [A BDC for a small dealership](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/bdc-for-small-dealerships): why a twenty-to-eighty-unit store rarely justifies a salaried BDC seat, which of the three jobs to automate first (answer the call, first touch on web leads, persistent follow-up), and where AI should NOT replace a person — negotiation, desking, and out-the-door pricing. - [What missed calls cost a dealership](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/missed-calls-cost-dealership): why the widely repeated industry miss-rate percentages are vendor-published and unaudited, how to measure your own rate from a full month of call logs, and how to turn it into a defensible dollar figure using front gross only. - [Dealership inventory syndication](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/dealership-inventory-syndication): how feeds work, the fields that cause silent rejections (VIN, title, price, mileage, photos, availability), why an empty export folder is normal, and why a feed should be judged on last-successful-push and published count rather than folder contents. - [After-hours calls at a dealership](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/after-hours-calls-dealership): why sales and service calls after closing are two different jobs — a shopper who needs a question answered and a test drive booked, and a customer who needs a service slot — what the answering options cost, and how to pick. - [Best Car Dealer Photo Apps With AI Background Replacement, Scored (2026)](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/best-apps-for-dealer-vehicle-photos-2026): Nobody in this category publishes a clean price. Of five dedicated car-dealer photo tools we scored on background quality, licence-plate handling, phone capture, listing hand-off and price visibility — Spyne, Cropy AI, CarBG, CarCutter and Photoroom — only Spyne states an automatic licence-plate mask, and none list a monthly dollar figure without a sales call or a vague credit tier. If you already pay for a DMS, DealersCloud's beta AI Photo Booth and Carsforsale.com's AI Images, part of its published $99-a-month suite, may already cover this without a new vendor. - [AI Assistants for a Dealership CRM Compared: Genie, OliviaAI, DAISI and Matador](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/ai-assistant-for-a-dealership-crm-compared): Yes, but the four we compared are different kinds of product. On the pages we read in October 2026, OliviaAI (DealerCRM) and DAISI (Space Auto) are assistants built into their own CRMs that can work for your staff and, if you allow it, for customers; Matador is a customer-facing AI layer that runs on a CRM you already own; Genie, ours, is a staff-facing assistant that shows a card before it sends or books. OliviaAI is the broadest. These are vendor statements, not tests: verify them in a demo. - [AI phone agent for a chamber of commerce: what it can and cannot do](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/ai-phone-agent-for-a-chamber-of-commerce): An AI phone agent can answer a chamber's calls around the clock when the answer is something the chamber already publishes: membership levels, event dates, hours, how to register. For everything else it takes a message and a callback number and leaves staff a summary. It cannot run the membership database, take payment by phone, decide policy or speak for the chamber on issues. The practical use is after-hours, weekend and event-week coverage, with a person kept on anything that takes judgement or a relationship. As of October 2026. - [How many electrical contractors are there by state? A 2026 data study](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/electrical-contractors-by-state-2026): The US had 83,342 electrical contractor establishments in 2023, per the Census Bureau's County Business Patterns survey (NAICS 238210), employing about 1.02 million people. California, Florida, Texas and New York have the most in raw count, but per capita the leaders are small, cold-weather states: Wyoming, Vermont, New Hampshire, Montana and Maine all have roughly double the national rate of establishments per 100,000 residents. Nearly 77% of establishments nationwide employ fewer than 10 people. - [AI receptionist in Spanish and other languages: what vendors say they support](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/ai-receptionist-in-spanish-and-other-languages): Most AI receptionists say they handle Spanish, but the claims differ a lot. As of October 2026, Rosie and Smith.ai state English and Spanish, Dialzara states 10 or more languages, My AI Front Desk says 20+, Upfirst says English, Spanish and 35+ others, and Retell says 55+. Lead Friendly offers 17 languages, set as one language, a pair such as English and Spanish, or multilingual detect. A language list does not tell you how well each language performs, so test with a real Spanish speaker before you sign. - [AI receptionist pricing index 2026: what 100, 200 and 500 calls cost](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/ai-receptionist-pricing-index-2026): On the published plans we read in October 2026, the computed monthly cost for 100 calls of three minutes each ranged from $49.00 (Quo's Sona credits, before Quo phone seats) to $212.50 (Smith.ai's AI plans, as of October 2026), with most between about $70 and $150. Prices are not directly comparable: some bill by minute, some by call, one by customer. Two vendors, Nextiva and Allo, do not publish enough to compute. Verify every figure on the vendor's site. - [Can an AI receptionist transfer calls to a human? Warm, blind and what happens if nobody answers](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/can-an-ai-receptionist-transfer-calls-to-a-human): Yes. Most AI receptionists can pass a live call to a person, but vendors differ on the type of transfer (warm, where the receiver is briefed first, or blind, where the call is simply connected), on which plan includes it, and on what happens when nobody answers. On the vendor pages we opened in October 2026, transfer is a plan feature or an agent action with limits, not a given. Decide who should get which calls, set a fallback for when no one picks up, and test it with real calls before you rely on it. - [Is there a free AI receptionist? What the free plans and trials really include](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/free-ai-receptionist-what-free-plans-really-include): Yes, but most offers are time-limited trials, not free forever. As of October 2026, Smith.ai lists a free plan of 25 calls a month with no time limit stated, and Quo's pricing page lists 10 calls' worth of free credits on every plan. Dialzara, Rosie and My AI Front Desk offer 7-day trials, Upfirst 14 days, and Goodcall a free demo agent you pay to connect to a real number. Verify each on the vendor's site, because several pages do not say whether a card is needed. - [HIPAA compliant AI receptionist: which vendors say they sign a BAA](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/hipaa-ready-ai-receptionist-which-vendors-sign-a-baa): Only some vendors say on their own pages that they sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), and it is often tied to an enterprise or custom plan or to a paid add-on. As of October 2026, Bland, Vapi, Retell and Upfirst mention a BAA, and My AI Front Desk says it handles sensitive conversations under signed BAAs; Smith.ai says it is not HIPAA-compliant. A BAA alone does not make a practice compliant. Lead Friendly does not sign a BAA, so a medical practice that needs one should choose a vendor that does. - [How to keep your business number when an AI receptionist answers: call forwarding set-up](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/keep-your-business-number-ai-receptionist-call-forwarding): You do not have to change your number. Either forward your existing number to the AI receptionist's number, all the time or only when you do not answer or after hours, or port the number to the new provider. Forwarding is quick to set up and easy to undo; porting moves the number itself and, per the FCC, should not be started by cancelling your old service first. Carriers and phone systems differ in what they offer, so use the steps on your own provider's page and test with a real call. - [AI receptionist vs IVR vs answering service vs voicemail: which fits which business](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/ai-receptionist-vs-ivr-vs-answering-service-vs-voicemail): Voicemail is cheapest but gives the caller no live answer. An IVR menu routes calls but cannot hold a conversation. A human answering service handles odd and emotional calls best and costs the most per minute. An AI receptionist sits between: it talks, books and takes messages at a fraction of human per-minute prices, but it struggles with unusual requests. As of October 2026, entry prices on public vendor pages run from about $19 per user for a phone line with voicemail to $250 per month for a human service (verify on each site). - [AI Voice Agents for Car Dealerships Compared: Twelve Vendors, What Their Pages State](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/ai-voice-agents-for-car-dealerships-compared): Most dealership AI voice vendors state far less than their sales pages imply. On the pages we opened in October 2026, only Lead Friendly published a price among the twelve vendors we checked; only Numa states DMS write-back plainly; and human handoff and after-hours coverage are stated by roughly half, and appointment booking by most. We scored each vendor only on what its own pages say, and used 'not stated' wherever a page was silent. That describes the pages, not the products, so verify with each vendor. - [Are AI receptionists worth it? What a 30-day test, owner threads and research show](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/are-ai-receptionists-worth-it): Sometimes. The public evidence we could open says an AI receptionist pays off when you lose calls you cannot answer and most of those calls are routine. It disappoints when callers are upset, requests are unusual or there is no quick route to a person. The best single test we found is small and from one consultant, so we read it as an example, not proof. Run your own two-week test on your own line before committing. - [Best CRM for Independent Used-Car Dealers (2026): Seven Options Compared](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/best-crm-for-independent-used-car-dealers-2026): There is no single best CRM for an independent lot, and most vendors do not publish a price. Start with DMS compatibility, because a CRM that cannot exchange inventory and deals with your DMS means double entry. Then test follow-up speed, which dealer-forum posters name as the usual real constraint. As of October 2026, only DealerCenter and Lead Friendly publish dollar prices among the seven we compared; AutoRaptor, DealersCloud, DriveCentric, VinSolutions and Selly Automotive are quote only. Verify everything on each vendor's site. - [CRM with an MCP server: what Claude and ChatGPT can do in five CRMs](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/crm-with-mcp-server-what-claude-and-chatgpt-can-do): Yes. As of October 2026, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Zoho CRM, Salesforce and Lead Friendly each document a first-party MCP server that Claude or ChatGPT can connect to. They differ in how you sign in (OAuth where the docs say, an API key for ours), how fine-grained the permissions are, and what the docs actually say about writes. The documented gaps matter as much as the features: several vendors do not state rate limits, and none of the pages we read can stop a prompt injection that arrives inside a CRM record. Start with a read-only connection. - [Do Independent Dealers Need DMS Write-Back? A Plain-English Decision Guide](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/do-independent-dealers-need-dms-write-back): Probably not, if you run a small used-car lot on a simple DMS and your phones mostly bring sales calls. DMS write-back means a tool saves its result, such as a confirmed appointment, directly into your DMS so nobody retypes it. Vendors that sell it, like Numa, aim it at stores with a service lane, where an appointment has to land in the service calendar. If you have a service department, a heavy repair-order flow or a buy-here-pay-here book kept in the DMS, ask for it. Lead Friendly does not offer it. - [What happened to the FCC's one-to-one consent rule? A timeline](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/fcc-one-to-one-consent-rule-what-happened): No, and it never took effect for even a day. The rule would have required written consent naming one seller at a time, covering only related messages. The FCC postponed its January 27, 2025 start date, and the Eleventh Circuit vacated the rule that same day, January 24, 2025. The FCC struck the language from its regulations July 14, 2025 (effective August 29, 2025), reinstating the pre-2023 written-consent standard. A single consent can again cover more than one seller; it still must be a signed, written agreement disclosing autodialed or prerecorded marketing calls. - [How to price an AI receptionist for clients: wholesale cost, retail benchmarks and margin math](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/how-to-price-an-ai-receptionist-for-clients): Price from three numbers: the minutes a client will use, your wholesale cost per minute plus any fixed platform fee, and what competing AI receptionists charge. On published rates as of October 2026, wholesale voice cost runs roughly $0.07 to $0.17 a minute before phone and model extras, and retail plans run about $0.15 to $0.48 per included minute. At an assumed $199 a month for 300 minutes, our worked examples show margins of about 39% to 81% at 5 clients and 77% to 82% at 20, before your own time. - [How to start an AI receptionist agency: niche, pilot, pricing, contracts and compliance](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/how-to-start-an-ai-receptionist-agency): Start narrow: one niche, one platform, two or three paid pilot clients, then a written price, contract and onboarding checklist before you sell to more. Inbound answering is the lower-risk place to start; outbound calling brings TCPA consent, quiet-hours and do-not-call duties, with statutory damages of $500 per violation. Plan consent, AI disclosure and call-recording rules before the first live call, because they differ by state. - [Is it legal for AI to answer a business phone line? U.S. and EU rules, October 2026](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/is-it-legal-for-ai-to-answer-my-business-phone): In the U.S. and the EU, we found no law that bans an AI from answering a business's inbound calls. The rules that matter are disclosure (tell callers it is an AI), recording consent, and, for medical offices, HIPAA. The FCC's 2024 ruling that AI voices count as 'artificial' under the TCPA is mostly about calls a business places, not calls it receives. Rules differ by state and are changing, so treat this as a map to check with a lawyer, not as legal advice. - [White-label AI voice agent platforms compared: price, and who carries the TCPA risk](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/white-label-ai-voice-agent-platforms-compared): Published white-label entry prices run from $99 a month (Stammer, Trillet) to $1,499 (Dialora), and Dialzara does not publish one. The bigger difference is calling law. On the pages we read as of October 2026, GoHighLevel states in its help centre that it does not check contact consent before outbound Voice AI calls, and none of the other vendors' pricing pages say who owns TCPA consent. When you resell an agent, assume the compliance work is yours unless the platform documents that it enforces it. - [How much do plumbers charge for after-hours emergency calls? (2026)](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/emergency-plumber-after-hours-fees): Thumbtack's marketplace data puts a typical emergency plumbing visit at $215-$655, averaging $377. Housecall Pro, software built for home-service trades, advises plumbing businesses to charge either a flat $150-$350+ emergency dispatch fee or 1.5x-3x the standard hourly rate after hours. Mr. Rooter and Roto-Rooter instead market a 'no overtime charge' or 'no extra cost' policy at some locations. There is no single market rate; the floor is the $30.67 median hourly wage the government tracks for the trade (BLS, May 2025). - [Reactivating an old lead database with AI calls and texts: TCPA rules and a 3,000-contact cost](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/database-reactivation-tcpa): You can use AI to call and text an old lead database, but only contacts whose consent covers it: a marketing call with an artificial voice to a cell phone needs prior express written consent (47 CFR 64.1200(a)(2)), and the FCC confirmed in 2024 that AI voices are artificial. Consent has no expiry date, but it covers only the seller and number named, ends on revocation, and does not follow a reassigned number. Scrub old inquiry leads against the Do Not Call Registry and your internal list, check reassigned numbers, call 8am to 9pm local time, text first where consent allows, and cap attempts. - [How many HVAC companies are there in the US? A state-by-state count (2026)](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/hvac-businesses-by-state-2026): The U.S. Census Bureau counts 111,207 establishments nationwide under NAICS 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, in its 2023 County Business Patterns survey — the only state-by-state count built from payroll tax filings rather than a directory crawl. California (11,686), Florida (9,353) and Texas (8,966) lead, and 76.8% of establishments nationally have fewer than 10 employees. Online vendor databases put the total anywhere from about 168,000 to nearly 477,000, because they count business listings instead of payroll employers. - [AI receptionist vs virtual receptionist: cost, and when each wins](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/ai-receptionist-vs-virtual-receptionist): A virtual receptionist is a person answering your calls remotely; an AI receptionist is software. Human services such as Ruby start at $250/month for 50 minutes. AI receptionists start between about $29 and $49 a month for 60 to 250 minutes. At these published prices AI costs less per minute and can cover nights and weekends; people still handle sensitive, unusual or high-stakes calls better. - [Call recording consent laws by state (2026): one-party vs all-party](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/call-recording-consent-by-state): Federal law and most states are one-party: a person on the call may record it without telling anyone else. Twelve states are treated as all-party (often called two-party) for phone calls: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington. In those states every party must consent before the call is recorded, and recording without it is a crime or grounds for a lawsuit. When either end of a call may be in an all-party state, announce the recording at the start and let anyone who objects opt out. - [Mini-TCPA laws by state (2026): consent, registration and private lawsuits](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/mini-tcpa-laws-by-state): A mini-TCPA is a state law that adds its own consent, texting, registration or lawsuit rules on top of the federal TCPA. The strictest are Florida, Oklahoma and Maryland, which require prior express written consent for automated marketing calls and texts and let consumers sue for $500 per violation, up to $1,500 if willful. Connecticut requires written consent for nearly every sales call. Texas and Oregon brought texts under their laws in 2025 and 2026, Pennsylvania does from October 18, 2026, and several states make telemarketers register or post a bond. - [Missed call text back: what it is, how to set it up, and what it costs](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/missed-call-text-back): Missed call text back sends an automatic text to anyone whose call you did not answer, as soon as the call ends, so the caller gets a reply before they ring the next business on their list. In the US the text must come from a number registered for business texting (10DLC or toll-free verification). The best setups do more than say sorry: they ask what the caller needs and keep the conversation going until someone, or an AI, books the job. - [National Do Not Call Registry rules for businesses (2026): who scrubs, how often, fees](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/national-do-not-call-registry-rules): Any business making telemarketing calls or marketing texts to consumers must check its call lists against a National Do Not Call Registry download no more than 31 days old, unless it calls only people with an established business relationship or their signed written permission. Access costs $85 per area code for fiscal 2027 (from October 1, 2026), with the first five area codes free and a $23,425 cap. Businesses that telemarket must also keep their own do-not-call list, honor requests within 10 business days and keep them for 5 years. Registrations do not expire. - [Smith.ai alternatives: what each costs at 100, 200 and 500 calls (2026)](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/smith-ai-alternatives): Smith.ai's AI receptionist bills per call, and it can put live human agents behind the AI. Most alternatives bill per minute, so the cheaper option depends on your call count and how long your calls run. We costed Smith.ai, Dialzara and Rosie at 100, 200 and 500 calls a month from their published prices. Smith.ai is still the better buy when you want human backup on hard calls; per-minute AI receptionists usually cost less when calls are short and you only need answering and booking. - [How much does 10DLC registration cost? The actual fee schedule](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/10dlc-registration-fees-2026): Registering to text customers from a 10-digit business number (10DLC) costs a one-time brand fee of a few dollars, plus a monthly campaign fee that runs from about $3 to $60 depending on what the texts are for. Add optional vetting (roughly $80 to $200 one time) if your volume needs it, and budget for T-Mobile's separate fees, which range from a $250 non-use charge up to $10,000 for a repeated content violation. Every messaging platform passes the same underlying charges through at its own rate, which is why the number quoted online rarely matches the one on your invoice. - [How many licensed insurance agents are there in each state?](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/insurance-agents-by-state-2026): NAIC's member insurance departments licensed about 2.26 million resident producers (individuals) in 2022, the latest year with a full state-by-state report, plus another 9.46 million non-resident license records held by producers operating across state lines. Florida has both the most resident producers of any state (279,279) and the highest rate relative to population (125.5 per 10,000 residents); South Carolina has the lowest rate (12.4). The gap between states mostly reflects multi-state licensing under reciprocity rules, not a real difference in how many people work as agents. - [How to send cold email from your own domain](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/send-cold-email-from-your-own-domain): Cold email campaigns stay locked until your own domain is verified, because a cold campaign may only go out from a domain you own. This keeps every cold campaign tied to a domain the sender actually controls. A cold send attempted without your own verified domain is refused outright, and the refusal names the page to go and fix it. - [How often should an insurance agent follow up with a new lead? A 14-day cadence](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/insurance-agency-lead-follow-up-cadence): Call within the first hour, then work the lead on a schedule that runs roughly two weeks: same-day second attempt, a handful of touches across days 1 through 7, then a final attempt and a break-up message around day 14. The research behind the urgency is specific: companies that contact a web lead within an hour are about seven times as likely to have a real conversation with the buyer as those that wait even an hour longer, and more than sixty times as likely as those that wait a day or more. - [Used-car gross profit per unit in 2026: what CarMax, Lithia and AutoNation report](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/used-car-dealer-gross-profit-per-unit): In their most recent quarterly earnings releases, CarMax reported $2,177 in gross profit per retail used unit (quarter ended May 31, 2026), Lithia & Driveway reported $2,014 (quarter ended June 30, 2026), and AutoNation reported $1,582 (same quarter). A Blue & Co. analysis of five public dealer groups put the group median at $1,927 for that quarter. These are front-end numbers only; add finance and insurance products and the same vehicle often earns much more. - [How to know your AI calls went well, without listening to all of them](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/how-to-know-your-ai-calls-went-well): You write the standard for a good call in plain English, one line at a time. One line might read, asked for the caller's timeline. The platform can propose the first five to ten criteria by reading the agent's own instructions. - [What happens when you paste your website into an AI agent setup](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/what-happens-when-you-paste-your-website-in): Setup reads the homepage of the website you paste in, plus up to four inner pages it picks. Those inner pages are usually services, hours, pricing, FAQ or contact. That's the reading step; filling in facts comes next. - [Why business calls show as "Spam Likely", and what registering texting involves](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/why-business-calls-show-as-spam-likely): When a carrier rejects a call with a code that means the call was blocked, that number's health score drops. A carrier rejection is the phone network refusing to connect a call before it reaches the customer. That code is the carrier's way of signaling something about how the number has been used. - [Google Business Profile for used car dealers: the setup that matters in 2026](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/google-business-profile-for-used-car-dealers): Claim and verify the profile, set the primary category to the specific dealer type (not the generic "Car dealer" option), keep regular and special hours current, add real lot photos, and decide deliberately whether to turn messaging on. What most dealer guides still miss: Google's own documentation now says the organic vehicle-inventory feed feature is being retired, so a listing strategy built around showing individual cars for sale on the profile itself is not something to invest more time in. - [Can a car dealership text customers without consent? What the TCPA requires](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/can-car-dealers-text-customers-tcpa): No, not without consent, and the bar depends on the message. Any automated or pre-recorded text to a cell phone needs the customer's prior express consent under the TCPA (47 U.S.C. § 227); a marketing or promotional text needs the stricter prior express written consent, signed and tied to that number. Skip that step and every text is worth $500 in statutory damages, or up to $1,500 if a court calls it willful, with no need to prove any actual harm. - [Facebook Marketplace vs. CarGurus vs. Autotrader for Independent Dealers](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/facebook-marketplace-vs-cargurus-vs-autotrader-for-dealers): There is no single winner. CarGurus ties its Deal Rating and Instant Market Value to all-in pricing, rewarding dealers who disclose fees, but the tiers that get real visibility are paid and unpriced. Autotrader has five dealer tiers with no published cost on its site; budgeting means calling for a quote. Facebook Marketplace has not offered free dealer listings since January 30, 2023; a business Page needs paid Automotive Inventory Ads, built manually or through a feed partner. Cost transparency, lead-quality signals and upkeep effort differ enough that most small lots run more than one. - [Florida independent used-car dealers by the numbers (2026)](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/florida-used-car-dealers-by-the-numbers-2026): Florida licenses roughly 10,400 independent retail used-vehicle dealers, nearly six for every franchise store (about 1,800). Ten of the state's 67 counties hold 71% of those lots, led by Miami-Dade and Broward. Of the independent dealers with an email on file, 51% use Gmail and only 22% use an address on their own domain, a sign that most of these lots are small, owner-run operations. - [Texas independent used-car dealers by the numbers (2026)](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/texas-used-car-dealers-by-the-numbers-2026): Texas licenses roughly 10,900 independent retail used-vehicle dealers at a physical lot, nearly five for every franchise store. Two thirds sit in ten counties, led by Harris and Dallas. Of 282 dealer websites that post weekday hours, 73% close by 6pm and 74% list Sunday as closed, which leaves most evening and Sunday shopper calls arriving while the lot is shut. - [Used car dealer license cost by state: fees and bond amounts (2026)](https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/used-car-dealer-license-cost-by-state): A used-car dealer license itself is inexpensive in most states we checked, from $115.50 in North Carolina to $1,000 in Illinois. The bigger number is the surety bond every state requires alongside it, typically $25,000 to $50,000. The bond is not a fee paid to the state; the dealer buys it from a bonding company and pays an annual premium, commonly 1%-4% of the bond amount. Across the six states we checked directly, budget roughly $115-$1,000 for the license and $250-$2,000 a year for the bond premium, before plates, training or a lot. ## Free tools - [Free tools hub](https://www.leadfriendly.com/tools): all of Lead Friendly's free, no-signup tools for teams that sell by phone, with a ready-made link and citation on each tool page. - [Dealership missed-call cost calculator](https://www.leadfriendly.com/tools/missed-call-calculator): put in your own inbound call volume, miss rate, appointment-set rate, show rate, close rate, and average front gross, and get the monthly and annual gross lost to unanswered calls. Entirely client-side — nothing is transmitted, stored, or gated behind an email. Deliberately conservative: front gross only, excluding service and back-end. - [GoHighLevel AI pricing calculator](https://www.leadfriendly.com/tools/gohighlevel-ai-cost-calculator): enter client sub-accounts and monthly AI minutes to see GoHighLevel's plan, AI Employee, voice engine, phone and token charges next to Lead Friendly Agency; says where GoHighLevel is cheaper - [TCPA calling-hours checker](https://www.leadfriendly.com/tools/calling-hours): paste a US phone number and get an immediate answer on whether it is inside the legal calling window right now, evaluated in the recipient's own timezone with stricter state rules applied automatically (18 states, each cited to its statute — e.g. WA/FL/OK 8pm cutoffs, TX Sunday noon start, RI/UT Sunday bans, PA/RI/UT holiday bans, PA 9am–7pm and no Sundays from Oct 19, 2026). Free, no signup, and the number is never stored. Runs the same rule engine that gates live outbound calls on the platform. Checks the time window only — not consent, DNC, attempt caps, or AI disclosure. - [State-by-state AI calling legality map](https://www.leadfriendly.com/tools/calling-legality-map): pick any US state (or deep-link with ?state=XX) and see what makes an AI voice call legal there — the federal TCPA baseline that applies everywhere (prior express written consent, caller identification at the start of the call, 8am–9pm recipient-local quiet hours, DNC scrubbing, with AI disclosure as the safe default because a federal AI-disclosure rule is only proposed and some states already require one) plus stricter state calling rules where the platform's rule engine has them (18 states, each cited to its statute) and the all-party recording-consent states the guides flag. Entirely client-side; nothing you pick is stored. Deliberately narrow: where no stricter state data is held, the map says "federal baseline applies" instead of guessing. - [Speed-to-lead benchmark](https://www.leadfriendly.com/tools/speed-to-lead): pick your typical lead response time (under a minute to next-day) and lead volume, and see where you sit against the published research — HBR's 2,241-company audit (42-hour average; ~7x meaningful-conversation advantage inside an hour) and the Oldroyd MIT/InsideSales study (5-minute response beats next-day by two orders of magnitude on qualification odds). Cites only those published studies, labels all impact statements directional, and deliberately refuses to invent a deals-lost dollar figure. Entirely client-side; nothing you enter is stored. - [Live AI receptionist demo](https://www.leadfriendly.com/demo): talk to a Lead Friendly AI agent in the browser — no signup, no phone number, no sales call. The same agent customers put on their business lines; it answers, qualifies, and books an appointment live. ## Key facts - Lead Friendly is an agentic AI platform — an AI-powered CRM with built-in voice calling that configures itself from your website and proposes the operation to run. Operated by Lead Friendly LLC (Spokane, WA). - "Agentic" here means: the platform takes a goal (set up and run your front-office calling) and does the steps — builds the agent from your website, proposes and creates the automations + campaigns, books on the calendar, enforces compliance, and writes results back to the CRM — with the owner approving rather than configuring from scratch. - The platform bundles AI voice agents, calling minutes (via Telnyx), CRM, calendar booking, automations, and platform-side TCPA compliance into one subscription. Phone numbers are not included in any plan: a US number is $3/month each, from the prepaid wallet. Worked monthly bills at real call volumes are on https://www.leadfriendly.com/pricing#real-volume. - Genie is Lead Friendly's in-app AI copilot: a plain-English copilot that TAKES ACTIONS rather than only answering. It builds automations from a stated goal (deriving the trigger and the full step sequence itself), builds and launches campaigns, creates AI agents from an industry template + the customer's website, assigns numbers to agents, edits existing automations when told what is wrong, books appointments, sends email/WhatsApp, creates contacts, and reports live account KPIs read from real records. - Genie is reachable four ways: the dashboard chat widget; hands-free browser voice ("Hey Genie", running on the browser's own speech engine, so it costs no voice minutes); an Apple Shortcut / Siri command endpoint, so the platform can be run by voice from a phone without opening the dashboard; and a phone bridge — calling Genie from an allowlisted number reaches the same copilot as a voice agent. - Genie's guardrails: read actions run instantly; any action that creates or sends renders a confirmation card and runs only on approval; new campaigns are created as drafts and automations paused; Genie never changes plan/billing, moves money, buys numbers, or deletes data; it is scoped to a single organization's data; and everything it sends passes the same TCPA quiet-hours, do-not-call-list and opt-out gates as the rest of the platform. - Genie's answers are grounded in the same published FAQ served at https://www.leadfriendly.com/faq — the copilot retrieves from that corpus rather than from model memory, so the public answer and the in-product answer are one source. - Dealership suite (auto-dealer orgs): daily-synced inventory feed the agent quotes from (never invented stock), an AI photo studio that turns a phone photo into listing photography (enhance / studio backdrop / vehicle-matched scene, batch-consistent), trade-in + owned-vehicle capture, VIN decoding, equity mining (finds customers in positive equity and matches them to a newer vehicle at a similar payment), a deal desk computing the four-square worksheet that solves backwards from a target payment or target gross, an F&I product menu with penetration reporting vs benchmarks, rate-markup/reserve fair-lending checks, customer-completed credit applications (SSN entered by the customer, stored encrypted), and e-signable deal documents (worksheet, buyer's order, RISC with the Truth-in-Lending box). A Dealertrack credit-application rail is built against the Dealertrack API and is in certification with Cox, so it is not yet carrying real applications; the in-app lender submission alongside it records a DRAFT only and returns no approval or rate, and there is no credit bureau pull. - Shuttle dispatch (hotel/airport shuttle orgs): the AI takes the pickup call, creates the ride, assigns and texts the driver a ride card, and sends the guest a live tracking link. Routes are airport↔hotel and station↔hotel; rides run requested → assigned → accepted → en route → arrived → completed; the owner is emailed a 7-day operations summary every Monday. - Industries served (each ships an agent template + tailored Operation Plan): real estate, mortgage, insurance, solar, dental, medical clinics, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, legal intake, auto dealerships, fitness & gyms, salons & spas, restaurants, financial advisory, Medicare, education & tutoring, recruiting & staffing, property management, veterinary, SaaS sales, trucking & dispatch, shuttle & transfer operators. - AI voice agents run on Deepgram speech-to-text, Anthropic's Claude as the language model, and Cartesia text-to-speech. Telephony runs through Telnyx + LiveKit SIP for sub-2-second voice turn-time. - Languages: agents are offered in 17 languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Punjabi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Swedish and Turkish — set per agent as one language, a bilingual pair, or multilingual (answering in the caller's language). - Platform enforces, at the gate before any call leaves the system: artificial-voice disclosure, TCPA quiet hours, internal DNC + STOP/opt-out ledger, 10DLC carrier registration awareness, recording-disclosure decision per-state two-party consent, AI-window time gate, per-destination velocity caps, and KYC via Persona. - Speed to lead, stated exactly: by default a lead from a Lead Friendly web form is dialed by the AI agent on submit (the business can turn this off or add a delay per form) when the shopper ticked the call-consent box and it is inside legal calling hours, otherwise at the next allowed time; leads posted to a web-lead endpoint server-to-server are dialed under the business's own consent attestation. Marketplace and ADF/XML leads (CarGurus, Cars.com) land in the CRM with a pipeline card and a follow-up task; after that the AI Auto Responder can text or email them, or an automation can text them and have the AI call, once the business switches either on (https://www.leadfriendly.com/for/auto-dealerships#leads-in). Lead Friendly publishes no measured response time, so any specific number of seconds or minutes attributed to it is not a Lead Friendly claim. - Federal and state DNC list scrubbing of customer-uploaded contacts is the customer's obligation under a recorded DNC attestation. Lead Friendly does not perform federal DNC scrubbing on customer lists. - Pricing tiers: Solo free trial (7 days or 30 AI voice minutes, whichever comes first; no credit card) / Starter $49/month, $39 billed annually (150 min) / Pro $99, $79 annually (400 min) / Agency $199, $159 annually (600 min pooled, white-label add-on). - Closest competitors: Retell, Vapi, Synthflow, Bland, Air (voice-API peers); GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Close (CRM peers); Aircall, JustCall (cloud-phone peers); Podium, Numa (AI messaging and call-answering peers for local businesses); DriveCentric, VinSolutions, Impel, AutoRaptor, Owini, Selly Automotive, Dealer Inspire, Dealer.com, DealerCenter, AutoRevo (dealership CRM, website and DMS peers, each with a side-by-side page indexed at https://www.leadfriendly.com/compare). - Agent-accessible: Lead Friendly runs two MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers. The public one at https://www.leadfriendly.com/api/mcp is unauthenticated and answers questions about the product — get_pricing, list_industries, check_capability, book_demo, and create_lead. Discovery at https://www.leadfriendly.com/.well-known/mcp.json and https://www.leadfriendly.com/.well-known/ai-plugin.json; docs at https://www.leadfriendly.com/developers. The second, at https://www.leadfriendly.com/api/mcp/v1, is authenticated and acts inside one customer's own account: an outside assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT connects with a developer API key (Authorization: Bearer, or X-LF-Api-Key for clients that reserve the Authorization header) and gets up to 38 tools. Read (19): search_contacts, get_contact, list_deals, get_deal, list_appointments, list_calls, get_call, check_outreach_basis, get_org_status, list_ai_agents, get_ai_agent, list_agent_templates, get_business_hours, list_campaigns, list_workflows, list_phone_numbers, list_fi_products, get_desk_defaults, search_available_numbers. Write (8): create_contact, update_contact, log_activity, send_sms, start_outbound_call, book_appointment, update_deal_stage, buy_number. Account setup (11): create_agent_from_website, update_agent_script, assign_number_to_agent, set_business_hours, create_campaign, create_workflow, pause_campaign, pause_workflow, create_fi_product, set_fi_product_active, set_desk_defaults. The deal, F&I and desk tools apply to car dealerships only. Setup guide at https://www.leadfriendly.com/guides/connect-your-ai-assistant. - The org-scoped MCP server is a real working surface, not a read-only demo: it reads an account's own contacts, deals, appointments and call transcripts, and three of its tools spend that account's wallet — send_sms and start_outbound_call put a message on the phone network, and buy_number buys a phone number. buy_number only quotes the monthly cost until it is called again with confirm:true, and it refuses unless identity verification is approved and a person in the account has already accepted the phone-number TCPA terms. It is governed accordingly. Keys are issued by an account owner or admin under Settings → API keys as read only, read + setup, or read + write, and each is individually revocable. A read-only key never sees the other tools; a read + setup key also gets the setup tools but never the ones that text, call, book or buy; a read + write key gets every tool. What the setup tools create starts switched off — an agent in review, a campaign as a draft, an automation paused — and no tool can put an agent live, start a campaign or automation, release a number, accept terms, or change billing. Daily ceilings cap changes and texts-and-calls per account, and every tool call is written to an audit row naming the agent, shown under Settings → AI agents. Writes run the same compliance chain as the rest of the platform — 10DLC registration, the account's do-not-call list, STOP opt-outs, recipient-local quiet hours, and an affirmative consent record for AI marketing contact — and a refusal comes back as a code with the reason and the remediation rather than a retryable error. Sensitive fields are withheld from external agents by design: get_deal returns a credit application's status and the lender's decision but never the applicant's identifiers, income, or bureau score, and a call recording is handed over only as a signed URL that expires in five minutes. - The FCC's February 2024 ruling treats AI-generated voices as "artificial or prerecorded voices" under the TCPA, so the artificial/prerecorded-voice consent rules apply: an AI marketing call to a U.S. consumer generally needs prior express written consent (PEWC), and every artificial-voice call must identify the business at the start (47 C.F.R. § 64.1200(b)). A federal rule requiring the call to say it is AI has been proposed but is not final; separate AI-disclosure duties come from specific states — California AB 2905 for prerecorded AI-voice calls, Maine whenever an AI could pass as a human, and Utah when a consumer asks. Lead Friendly discloses the AI on every call as the safe default. ## Contact - Sales / general / partnerships / privacy: hello@leadfriendly.com - Customer support: support@leadfriendly.com - Billing & invoices: admin@leadfriendly.com - Security / DPA / vulnerability disclosure / SOC questionnaires: security@leadfriendly.com - Abuse reports / spam / AUP violations / carrier complaints: abuse@leadfriendly.com ## Licensing - Content on this site may be cited and quoted by AI systems with attribution and a link to the source page. - Use for AI training is permitted. - Do not reproduce full pages without linking the source.
